Terms of Service

These terms govern access to and use of Sigryl, including billing, refunds, responsibilities, and legal rights.

Effective Date

These Terms of Service are effective as of February 15, 2026.

Who We Are

Sigryl is a product operated by RSTJ Tools, LLC (doing business as Sigryl). In these Terms, "Sigryl," "we," "our," and "us" refer to RSTJ Tools, LLC. Sigryl provides a hosted status page and incident communication platform for teams that need to publish service availability and updates.

Acceptance of Terms

These Terms are a legal agreement between you and RSTJ Tools, LLC (d/b/a Sigryl). By accessing or using Sigryl, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and any policies referenced in them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use Sigryl. You agree to provide accurate and complete account information and keep it current.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity that occurs under your account.

Subscriptions, Billing, and Auto-Renewal

Paid plans are billed through Stripe. By starting a paid subscription, you authorize recurring charges for the selected plan and applicable taxes until cancellation.

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled before renewal. We may update pricing from time to time and will provide notice where required by law.

Refund Policy

Sigryl offers a 30-day refund window for your first subscription payment only. To request a refund, email hello@sigryl.com within 30 days of that initial charge.

Renewal charges are generally non-refundable. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method and may take additional time to appear depending on your payment provider.

Acceptable Use

You may not use Sigryl to:

  • Violate any law, regulation, or third-party right.
  • Disrupt, interfere with, or attempt unauthorized access to systems or data.
  • Reverse engineer, exploit vulnerabilities, or bypass security controls.
  • Scrape or collect data in a way that exceeds permitted usage or harms service stability.

Customer Content and Data

You retain ownership of the content you submit to Sigryl, including status page text, incident updates, and subscriber-related data. You grant Sigryl a non-exclusive license to host, process, and transmit that content solely to operate and improve the service.

You are responsible for having all necessary rights and permissions for data you submit and for communications you send to your subscribers.

Third-Party Services

Sigryl relies on third-party providers, including Clerk, Convex, Stripe, Resend, Cloudflare, and Twilio where enabled. We are not responsible for outages, failures, or policy changes by third-party services outside our reasonable control.

Service Availability and Changes

We work to keep Sigryl available and reliable, but uptime is not guaranteed unless covered by a separate written agreement. Scheduled maintenance, emergency maintenance, and third-party failures may affect availability.

We may add, modify, or discontinue features from time to time. If a material change reduces core paid functionality, we will provide commercially reasonable notice.

Intellectual Property

Sigryl and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in the software, branding, documentation, and related materials. Except for limited rights expressly granted in these Terms, no license or transfer of intellectual property rights is provided.

Feedback

If you provide suggestions, ideas, or feedback about Sigryl, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use that feedback for any lawful purpose without obligation or compensation to you.

Disclaimers

Sigryl is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sigryl will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, goodwill, or data. Sigryl's total aggregate liability for all claims related to the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Sigryl in the 12 months before the event giving rise to liability, or (b) $100 USD.

Export Controls and Sanctions

You may not use Sigryl if you are located in, organized in, or ordinarily resident in a country or territory subject to comprehensive U.S. sanctions, or if you are listed on any U.S. government restricted party list. You represent that your use of Sigryl will comply with applicable export control and sanctions laws.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Sigryl from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the service, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of applicable law or third-party rights.

Termination

You may stop using Sigryl at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users or the platform, or where required for legal or security reasons.

Upon termination, your right to use the service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including payment obligations, intellectual property, limitations of liability, and dispute terms.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms with a new effective date and, where required, provide additional notice. Continued use of Sigryl after updated Terms become effective means you accept the revised Terms.

Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Hartford County, Connecticut, and each party consents to that jurisdiction and venue.

Assignment and Entire Agreement

You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, or sale of assets. These Terms and any policies referenced in them are the entire agreement between you and Sigryl regarding the service and supersede prior agreements on that subject.
